We Are Creating InteranaInterana lets you answer any question about digital behavior
Interana is a fast growing Bay Area software company that is defining and leading a new category of behavioral analytics for the digital economy.
Inter|ana comes from the idea of “interactive analytics” and also hints at the idea of achieving “interana” – a kind of nirvana for our curious users. We believe no one before us has really made analytics fully interactive, without predefinition or processing delays between new questions and answers.
Interana was founded in 2013 by three engineers: Ann Johnson, Bobby Johnson and Lior Abraham, with a vision to make fast, intuitive, visual and interactive exploration of event data directly accessible to everyone in tomorrow’s digital businesses.
Ann is a mechanical engineer who spent time in leadership roles at Intel. Bobby led infrastructure at Facebook where he built the systems that allowed Facebook to scale from a million to a billion users and was responsible for the development of key open source big data technologies such as Scribe, Cassandra and Hive. Also at Facebook, Lior wrote and drove the massive spread of Scuba, the internal tool for exploring event and performance data that has been adopted by over 50% of employees.
Interana was incubated at Y-Combinator and has received $28+ million in funding from leading venture firms and angels including Battery Ventures, Index Ventures, Data Collective, Marc Benioff, Diane Greene, and Mike Olson.
Interana has developed proprietary full-stack software with key innovations covered by a growing patent portfolio. Interana began betas starting in 2014. It has since attracted over 30 high-growth, enterprise and startup customers across web, mobile, SaaS, cloud infrastructure and IoT services including Bing, Tinder, Sonos, Reddit, Imgur, Asana and Azure where it is accessed daily by 1000s of users ranging from product managers to growth, marketing, support and engineering.
